Suriya simply rocks: Murugadoss
An important event in the history that has lost its place in recorded is what 7 Aum Arivu is all about, says A R Murugadoss.
Addressing media persos in Chennai, he said, ‘I came across the story of Bodhidharman, who lived in sixth century. Art director Rajeevan has recreated the schools of 6th century Shaolin Temple. Harris worked really hard to give a Chinese song. With Suriya playing the role, nothing but perfection could be achieved on screen’.
A lot of research has gone into the project, he added.
Suriya said, ‘ I play Bodhidharman, who has contributed to zen, founding of Shaolin Temple and revered as an Indian monk worldwide.’
The movie has cinematography by Ravi K Chandran, action choreographed by Peter Hein, editing by Anthony and art direction by Rajeevan.
Shruti Haasan plays Subha Srinivasan, a young scientist. ‘Suriya is a wonderful co-star’, she said.
Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, 7 Aum Arivu will hit the screens for Deepavali. Harris Jeyaraj has come out with half-a-dozen catchy numbers that includes a Chinese song.
